We know that our natural environment is one of our greatest treasures, and through various initiatives, we seek to reduce our environmental impact and offer our guests a more conscious and environmentally friendly experience.
In addition, every year some of our hotels organise awareness-raising and beach cleaning activities, in which both employees and customers participate, in the areas where our establishments are located.

At Haven Riviera Cancun, we are committed to protecting our beach and coastal dune to encourage sea turtle nesting. Our Mexican waters are home to three species: the white turtle, the hawksbill turtle and the loggerhead turtle.
We are very excited to share with you the total number of turtle nests and hatchlings that have taken place on our beach.
We collaborate with organisations that prioritise the care and protection of local wildlife in the areas where we operate. Additionally, we support animal shelters through our donations, contributing to their well-being.
At Hipotels, we are committed to applying and implementing practices that reduce the environmental impact in the renovation of our buildings. We use technologies that improve energy efficiency, minimizing consumption and reducing CO₂ emissions.
This year, we have installed a new system for hot water production by zones, optimizing energy consumption. We have also upgraded our electrical and air conditioning systems, and implemented a centralized water-cooled refrigeration system to optimize consumption and reduce the use of refrigerant gases.
In our pursuit of sustainability, we have optimized our facilities and installed photovoltaic panels in several of our hotels, allowing us to harness solar energy to reduce conventional energy consumption and decrease our carbon footprint. The use of renewable energy strengthens our commitment to the environment.
Efficient water management is essential to us. We have implemented various measures to reduce water consumption, such as the use of smart irrigation systems and the installation of water-saving taps and showers. With these actions, we not only seek to minimise our impact, but also to inspire our guests to use water responsibly during their stay.
We are committed to the environment. We encourage the recycling of plastic, glass, paper and other materials, and we work to reduce the use of single-use plastics. We use biodegradable cleaning products, and our soaps and amenities are eco-friendly with their Ecolabel certification.
Aware of the environmental impact and the limitation of natural resources, at Hipotels we are committed to contributing to sustainable development and the conservation of the environment. We have implemented an Environmental Management System that guides our efforts towards continuous improvement. Our hotels hold recognised certifications such as ISO 14001, TRAVELIFE and EARTHCHECK, BIOSFER , ensuring that we comply with applicable legislation on human rights, social, labour and environmental responsibility.
